Happy Sunday!

Each & every Sunday I spend time reflecting on my week and then planning for the week ahead.

So I wanted to share some of the top few wins & lessons for my past week.

1. Everyday is Special

We fall into patterns for how often we do (or don’t) exercise, how often we do (or don’t) clean the dishes, and everything else in between. It is easy to complain about the mundane and routine things, but if you take a step back and look at it (and truly live in the moment), it’s those little things that make your day and your life special. From Tolestory: “There is no past and no future; no one has ever entered those two imaginary kingdoms. There is only the present.”

2. Give Yourself Time to Replenish

At the end of the day — we are all busy. But that doesn’t mean you can’t unplug, not work, and just relax. Get away from the devices for an hour or more a day, and for most of the day once a week. This is time when you’re not working, but maybe out in nature, or spending time socializing with people. Take a walk, watch a new series on Netflix, drink some tea, read a book, do something with your hands. Let your mind have a break, so that it can replenish.

3. Create a Flexible Structure and Keep Adjusting

Having a routine is critical to personal and professional growth, BUT that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be looking at everything you are doing regularly and adjusting (optimizing) to make things better. Flexibility needs to be allowed in and offers the ability to shift the structure as needed, on the fly. It means being willing to put aside what you had planned, to deal with what has come up. But it also means not just abandoning the structure when things get uncomfortable or you feel like procrastinating.

Have a great rest of your Sunday!
