The 3 Things That I Learned This Week (12.3.23)
Happy Sunday!
Each and every Sunday I spend time reflecting on my week and planning for the week ahead.
This week has been a journey of self-discovery and learning. The three key lessons I’ve gleaned offer valuable insights into personal growth and well-being. Here’s an exploration of these lessons and how one can learn from them.
1. Don’t Focus On External Circumstances
Lesson Learned:
Life is unpredictable, and external circumstances often lie beyond our control. This week, I was reminded of the importance of focusing on what I can control — my actions, reactions, and mindset. Whether it’s a traffic jam or an unexpected work challenge, fixating on these externalities can lead to unnecessary stress and unhappiness.
How to Learn From It:
Practice mindfulness and acceptance. Acknowledge your circumstances without letting them dominate your thoughts. Engage in activities that ground you in the present moment, like meditation or journaling. Remember, resilience is built not by avoiding challenges but by adapting to them with a positive mindset.
2. In A Busy Season (like the Holidays), You Still Have to Focus on Your Health
